Day of Solidarity March, Bridge Sit In & Arrests, Occupy Chicago 11/17

Late Thursday afternoon and evening the streets of downtown Chicago once again filled with protesters as the nationwide “occupation” protests enter their second month. A coalition of groups gathered at the Thompson Center for a rally and speeches. Following the rally the demonstrators took to the streets.

The target was the nearby La Salle street bridge where they stopped filling the bridge and blocking traffic. A small group of about forty sat down and after repeated warnings they were arrested. Following the arrests the marchers turned around and marched back down towards La Salle and Jackson the center of Chicago’s occupation. More on the next clip
