Iceland Shows That Converting To Renewable Energy Is Possible and Profitible
Over the past fifty years the country of Iceland has gone from getting 80% of it’s power needs from fossil fuel to one that gets 80% from renewable resources. Long time president Olafur Grimsson outlines how his country used geothermal energy to do this and urges others to follow Icelands example. We offer a couple of clips the first I came across on Current you must go directly to the site to see the video so click here.
So I thought this guy is saying just what the world needs to hear and went to look for some other clips on this story. This is some of what I found in this first one he talks some more about geothermal energy.
In this one president Grimsson talks about wind power and the importance of intergrating renewable resources.
This video goes in depth into how Iceland harnessed this natural resource.
